Jaroslav Pelikan

Nascido em 1923, é professor emérito de história em Yale. Recebeu diversos títulos acadêmicos, medalhas e prêmios no mundo todo, inclusive o Jefferson Award of the National Endowment for the Humanities, a maior honraria conferida pelo governo dos Estados Unidos a um scholar da área das humanidades. Foi presidente da American Academy of Arts and Sciences e é autor de mais de trinta livros, entre eles The Christian Tradition, Jesus Through the Centuries, The Reformation of the Bible/The Bible of Reformation, Faust the Theologian, Christianity and Classical Culture e The Idea of the University.
