Ethel Johnston Phelps

Nasceu em 1914 em Long Island, Nova York. Mestre em literatura medieval, publicou diversos artigos sobre temas relacionados ao século XV. Além de Chapeuzinho Esfarrapado, organizou outra antologia de contos feministas, The Maid of the North (Holt, Rinehart and Winston, 1981). Faleceu em 1984.
